Detroit Country Day – Lower School

Detroit Country Day – Lower School located in Bloomfield Hills, Michigan. The school was experiencing problems with their old single boiler. The old boiler was starting to fail and was very inefficient.  Performance Engineering Group was selected because the pre-piped system allowed for a speedy installation and quick turn over of the project. The new equipment installed was a Hamilton Engineering pre-piped system with 3 boilers and Grundfos variable speed system pumps.  Boilers were installed with the existing system still in operation. Old boiler was removed at the time of the switch over. Boilers were delivered knocked down. The assembly of the system took less than two hours to complete. Total system switch over was completed on a week-end shut down. The projected energy savings is $12,000 per year and they received an energy rebate of $4,200 from local gas company based on boiler efficiency of 95%.
